Hey everyone, this is Susan, and I’m back with a new two-hour build project.
This time we built a Wall Mounted Box Mirror for our home. It can be used to store makeup and doubles up as a small mirror.
It’s a beginner build and can be a great build if you are making a box for the first time.

How to Make the Wall Mounted Box Mirror
Step 1: So as the first step we cut out 4 pieces for the sides from the ½” x 3-½” lumber measuring ½” x 3-½” x 8” each. Then we beveled the edges at 45 degrees using the miter saw.
Step 2: Then, we had to make the support piece inside the box, which gives it reinforcement. We took the ¾” x ½” pine molding and made four pieces measuring ½” x ¾” x 7” each. Again we beveled the edges at 45 degrees using the miter saw.
Step 3: Then, we sanded each piece thoroughly up to 220 grit.
Step 4: After this, we marked a point x mm from the edge of the side piece for fixing the inner piece. We transferred the same length to each piece using our marking gauge.
After this, we used wood glue and nails to fix the inner piece to the bottom of the side piece. We did for all four side pieces.
Step 5: Then, we joined each side piece to the adjoining piece by using nails and wood glue.
Step 6: So, with this, our frame was ready! Now we had to fix the mirror and the plywood at the base to cover the mirror.
We hope you liked our DIY box mirror project! Happy DIYing!
